Eratosthenes' sieve is a means for determining all of the prime numbers lass then a given number by filtering out all of the non-prime numbers. Below is a chart illustrating all of the prime numbers less than 100. First cross out all of the multiples of two after two. Then, cross out all multiples of three after three, then all mutliples of five after five and continue the process for all of the primes below √100 = 10; The highlighted numbers are excluded, in this example.
